There is theoretical, theoretical and practical training and practice classes. Practical classes allow the application of knowledge and are essential for this groupof students

Learning Outcomes

The overall objective is to train health professionals able to: a) recognize and describe the external macroscopic morphology of different dental elements of stomatognathic system; b) reveal the importance of internal morphology for each element mentioned above; c) recognize the interdental relationships normal versus pathological situation. From the point of view of skills and competences: i) have the theoretical knowledge of the chronology, dimensions and external dental macroscopic morphology; ii) possess the theoretical knowledge of interdental relations; iii) have the practical knowledge to reproduce the dental elements.

Syllabus

 1.Dimensions, chronology and external morphology: incisors, upper and lower; canines, upper and lower; pre molars, upper and lower; molars, upper and lower.2. Characteristics of the final versus primary dentition. 3. Understanding of internal morphology of each tooth. 4. Interpret the interdental relations including the study of mandibular movements. 5. Dental practice of wax models.
