Recommended Prerequisites

These bases include in particular the following:
- Biostatistics - Master the main technical descriptive and inferential statistics;
- Sociology - the ability to understand major sociological problems ;
- History of Medicine - Knowledge of the evolution of medicine through the ages ;
- Medical Pathology - Basic knowledge of major diseases and risk factors
English language - reading ability , comprehension and oral and written expression of the language to a level sufficient to reach the recommended bibliography and to scientific communication.
Information Technology - Internet capacity utilization for searching
Statistics - Ability to understand and use the main techniques Descriptive statistics and inferential.

Teaching Methods

Theoretical classes:

It is intended that during a lecture of two hours is possible to establish the necessary dialogue the transmission of previously defined concepts and others who , although not in the program , shown to be relevant to the cultural , academic and scientific training student. 

Practical classes:

This lective period is reserved to the practical application of the the concepts taught in theorical lective periods.

1. Domain, calculation and interpretation of different epidemiological techniques
2. Develop and implement epidemiological surveys
3. Apply the principles to clinical and epidemiological techniques
4. Know, identify and interpret physical, chemical and microbiological characteristics of water, food and air.

1. Principles, methods and epidemiological techniques:
- Knowing the origin and evolution of epidemiology;
- Describe the different types of epidemiology and epidemiological studies;
- To know and master the main epidemiological techniques;
- Understand the dynamics and evolution of major diseases.

2. Public Health:
- Know what the main problems of public health at national and global level
- To describe the temporal and regional variations
- Know, identify and explain the main factors behind the major public health problems.
