Teaching Methods

Lectures and-practices are stimulating and interactive. Strategies will be used to make your key role. This participation will be made by submitting questions or issues. We highlight what seems to us fundamental. Note however, by the fact of not being exposed in the classroom, all presented objectives will be evaluated.
What we expect of students:
We expect you to participate actively whenever requested. However, if it is not requested your individual presentation, you must not disturb the class.
To get better results would be interesting to you to study the subjects provided for each class in order to better understand the topics addressed and clarify any questions that you have arisen. In certain topics you will be invited to teach part of the class theme.

Learning Outcomes

The pedagogical objectives of Surgery Chair, Anesthesiology and Resuscitation based on the conviction that it is important to give students of Dentistry Course knowledge with science-based Surgery, Anesthesiology and Reanimation.

The information transmitted is intended to give the student the tools to enable it to understand the language and surgical and anesthetic terminology, recognizing the interest of sound medical history, know the basics of the technique, acquire general anesthesia knowledge and local principles basic first aid or basic and advanced life support. This more enlightened and multidisciplinary approach to the patient will allow the students to develop a critical sense necessary to the knowledge of the patient as a whole.

Syllabus

1. Understand the language and surgical and anesthetic terminology.

2. Recognizing the need for a proper medical history.

3. Acquire General Anesthesia knowledge, location and clinic. Pre-anesthetic evaluation. Care in the immediate postoperative period.

4. Acquire resuscitation skills. Preventing and addressing medical emergencies.

5. Know the symptomatology and pathology oro-maxillofacial.

6. Know the most frequent symptomatology and pathology of the head, neck and esophagus.

7. Demonstrate skills essential to teamwork and knowledge of ethical and deontological notions underlying the relationship with colleagues, other professionals and patients.
