Endodontics II
Theoretical and interactive practical lessons with oral presentation aided by audiovisual media
Clinical lessons with patients performed and supervised in clinic; Presentation and self- evaluation of clinical cases performed; Presentation of the final report of the clinical cases performed.
Operative Dentistry II
Expository but interactive classes using suitable ICT with example clinical cases documented step by step.
Clinical lessons with patients oriented to problem-solving situations where students do or see how to do, properly supervised.

Learning Outcomes

Endodontics II

Perform medical history , anesthesia and operative isolation

Interpret intraoral radiographs , pulp and peri- apical test to formulate the diagnosis

Know emergencies in endodontics, traumatic injuries and appropriate therapy

Know how to perform in patients: canalar access cavities , chemical - mechanical instrumentation , canalar filling , mono and plurirradiculares teeth and restoration techniques between endodontic sessions

Make self- critical evaluation of any treatment.

Operative Dentistry II

To acquire skills for diagnosis and treatment plan. Knowing classifications, treatments, materials and techniques essential to clinical practice. Recognize clinical and imaging aspects of the most frequent pathologies: tooth decay, trauma, congenital and acquired anomalies, knowing the different methods for its diagnosis, prevention and treatment. Perform restorations in the anterior and posterior teeth in different types of cavities.

Endodontics II
Theoretical lessons: Dental Traumatology; Failure in endodontic treatment; Endodontic retreatment nonsurgical and surgical ; Mechanized instrumentation; Thermoplastic root canal filling; Multidisciplinary relationship of endodontics : Periodontology , Orthodontics, Implantology ; Orofacial pain.
Clinical Practice: biomechanical preparation and obturation of the root canal systems performed in five root canals in clinical setting.
Operative Dentistry II
Theoretical lessons: chromatic pathologies; update on adhesion; chemical caries removal; failures and iatrogenic procedures; crown modifications with composites; fiber-reinforced composites; inlays and onlays; emergency; oral trauma; LASER; repair / replacement of restorations; new technologies and materials; Endocrowns; Clinical practice: Preparation and restoring class I, II, III, IV and V cavities in patients; * Bleaching; crown modifications*; oro-facial trauma *; conservative pulp therapies * (* if possible).
