Recommended Prerequisites

Skills and knowledge acquired in: Operative Dentistry II; Endodontics II; Pediatric Dentistry II; Periodontology II; Oral Medicine II; Oral Surgery II,; Orthodontics II; Removable Prosthodontics II; Fixed Prosthodontics II; Occlusal Rehabilitation II, which allowed the student perform specific treatments in patients in each valence, applying the theoretical and theoretical-practical knowledge acquired in each of the valences.

Teaching Methods

Clinical Teaching. The treatments in patients are performed by students seeking to develop skills level 2 and 3. It is particularly important to do the development of skills level 3. In subjects with different surgical component the students must attend.

Presentation of a clinical work or literature review conducted with the purpose of a presentation / free communication. Students yet develop on this, a written work, in some subjects complying with the rules for publication in a specialty journal indexed.

Learning Outcomes

At the end the student should know how to make the plan of treatment, diagnosis and treatments in interdisciplinarity, independently, applying the theoretical, practical-theoretical and practical knowledge acquired in the respective subjects: Operative Dentistry III; Endodontics III; Pediatric Dentistry III; Periodontology III; Oral Medicine III; Oral Surgery III ; Orthodontics III; Removable Prosthodontics III; Fixed Prosthodontics III; Occlusal Rehabilitation III. The realization of the prognosis of established treatments should be another of acquired skills. It should also have acquired the necessary skills to develop prevention of the subjects diseases. Skills in teamwork, attitude and posture should also be acquired. The introduction of the seminars in some subjects endow the student of skills in literature, critical analysis of the literature, writing an article and presente a free comunication.

Syllabus

OD III: direct and indirect rest of ant and post teeth; matrix/stratification; post fiber; bleaching. ODP III: behav control; preventive techn, anesthesia, endodontic, restorative and surgical. PPR III: Rehabilitation of a total toothless and a partial toothless. ORTOIII examination, impressions, cephalometric analysis and treatment plan. ORIII: occlusal and functional analysis; running an occlusal splint. PERIOIII, OMIII, OSIII: periodontal, surgical and nonsurgical treatment. Oral care in patients with systemic diseases. ENDOIII: chem and mech instrumentation techniques, plurirradiculares teeth and obturation; apexogénese and apexificação. OR III: clinical occlusal analisys, clinical functional analysis. PFIII: Perform clinical procedures to fixed partial prosthesis and bite registration, using appropriate materials.

In each valence is performed clinical history, diagnosis and treatment plan, and controls. SEMINARS: current clinical and theoretical-practical themes in each valence.
