- To define the cellular and molecular processes associated with the development of disease.
- To define the main mechanisms used by the immune system as protection against infectious agents.
- To define the main mechanisms of immune aging, as well as immunoendocrine and neuroimmunological communication.
- To understand the value of immunotherapy.
- To demonstrate the role of Immunology and immunity in human pathology and how this can be used for diagnosis and therapy.
