Teaching Methods

For the student acquires the skills proposed for this curricular unit, lessons will be based on oral presentations of the matter following its framework in the curricular unit. Practical exercises that apply theoretical concepts, with analysis, interpretation and discussion of results will be conducted in practical classes

Learning Outcomes

Development of skills to interpret the evolution of serum concentrations versus time integrating multidisciplinary information (physiology, pathology, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapy).

Application of mathematical models that characterize the time course of drug concentrations in biological fluids in order to understand the influence of pathophysiological variables on drug pharmacokinetic profile and its application in drug therapeutic drug monitoring and optimization of drug dosage regimen.

Work Placement(s)
