Learning Outcomes

To know the main mechanisms of the immune aging as well as the immunoendocrine and neuroimmunological communication.

To understand the use of the immune system in anti-aging strategies.

Collect, evaluate and integrate information drawn from a variety of sources to generate written and oral information that highlight the importance of knowing and understanding the immune system.

The immune system:

Innate and acquired immunity;

Main cells and molecules that are important in the aging process;

The aging relations with inflammation and neuroendocrine and neuroimmunological axes;

The main changes of the immune system with age;

Preventive immune attitudes on active aging.
