Recommended Prerequisites

Basic knowledge about the normal structure and functions of the skin.

Basic knowledge about the pathophysiology, clinical manifestations and treatment of the most common skin disorders.

Teaching Methods

Theoretical classes with presentation of the learning objectives followed by the explanation of the contentes. Active participation of the students is encouraged, for clarification of doubts, and to stimulate critical thinking and resolution of practical clinical problems.

Learning Outcomes

To acquire specific knowledge regarding the most prevalent dermatological disorders in the elderly, including notions about their epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical features, treatment and prevention.
