Teaching Methods

Presentation of themes and case studies by teachers, students and invited experts; Practical exercises; In-person and online tutoring.

Practical work: preparation of an applied project in one of the themes of socio-educational intervention analysed, using the taught models of planning and evaluation. This written work assessment, done in groups of 3 or 4 elements, will be presented to the class and teachers. The supervision of projects will occur in class and through tutorial system.

Learning Outcomes

The curricular unit aims that students know, explore and implement models for planning and evaluation of programs/projects/socio-educational activities that can support intervention in different contexts and target groups, through a transdisciplinary perspective, focused on problem solving.

Expected skills

To understand the theoretical models that support social and educational intervention and its articulation with the planning and socio-educational assessment models

To know models of planning and evaluation of social and educational projects.

To critically reflect on different socio-educational analysis and interventions and new logics of personal, group, organizational and community development.

To recognize personal, interpersonal, group and communication skills related to managing a socio-educational intervention project

To articulate processes of project management with the steps of the life cycle of a socio-educational project.

To design a socio-educational intervention project

1. Socio-educational intervention: conceptions and typologies of socioeducational intervention; Areas and projects of socioeducational intervention in family/school/groups and community; Evidence-based interventions and interventions based on values

2. Planning and Assessment of Socio-educational Projects: Models, practices and useful tools for the dynamic development cycle of a social-educational project - The Planning Model of Social Projects of Pérez Serrano (1997); The theoretical and practical model of Events of Giacaglia (2006); The Interactive Model of Program Planning; The development model of skills according to Whetten and Cameron (2005).

3. Assessment of socio-educational intervention projects based on multilevel model of Kirkpatrick (2006) and Stufflebeam (1993); Management of socio-educational intervention projects based on the Logical Framework of a project
