Teaching Methods

- Analysis and discussion of texts about the syllabus topics, and presentation of a critical review.

Learning Outcomes

- To acquire the fundamental tools for the interpretation and analysis of the contexts and processes of

population mobility and development;

- To acquire the fundamental tools to understand and interpret the new forms of mobility, in which

tourism and leisure play an important role;

- To understand the different scales of migration flows, especially in what concerns tourism and leisure;

- To identify the role played by territories in this kind of mobility;

- To understand how the development of new forms of mobility, connected with the regions of emerging

economies, can influence leisure/tourist flows.

Skills

- Ability to analyze and reflect on the evolution and consolidation of new models of mobility, especially

connected to development;

- Ability to establish relations between territories and new forms of mobility (ecomigration, residential tourism, etc);

- Ability to understand the relations between these new forms of mobility and local/regional development.
