Recommended Prerequisites

Good knowledge of the working languages.

M1- Lectures on the specialized areas involved

M2- Translation oriented text analysis

M3- Commentary on and discussion of students' translations and glossaries.

At the end of the seminar, students will:

1- have acquired the skills for translating specialized texts

2- be familiar with translation related tasks

3- be familiar with authentic texts from different areas

4- be able to apply the knowledge acquired during the 1^st semester, especially Translation Theory and Applied Informatics and Terminology

5- be able to work in team contexts.

P1- Analysis and translation of authentic texts (legal documents, manuals, reports, etc.)

P2- In addition to the translation of texts, students will assume differents tasks such as revision and terminology extraction

P3- Students will prepare a portfolio with translations, complementary information and glossaries/termbases.
