Learning Outcomes

To provide a theoretical framework for the following Constitutional Law topics:

- the legal system of fundamental rights

- the Constitution as norma normarum

- the law and the decree-law in the Portuguese legal order

- the Portuguese constitutional judicial review system

- the power of constitutional revision

Students are expected:

- to reflect critically on the issues addressed in class;

- to read and interpret the constitutional norms;

- to apply the acquired knowledge to solve specific problems
