Learning Outcomes
Although contemporary Law Schools’ purpose is not to provide formation for economists, jurists are required, more than ever, to be familiar with the basics of economics and be sensitive to economic and finance related issues insofar as they are dealt with by the legal community (judges, criminal investigators, lawyers, diplomats).
Hence, rather than being economics-oriented, this course is specifically concerned with the training of good jurists.
By the end of it students are expected to better understand the foundations of a good number of rules and legal concepts, and also have a good grasp of the meaning and scope of law ruled economic issues that law professionals must be aware of.
