Learning Outcomes

The Roman Law course provides students with the legal education they need in order to effectively contribute toward the legal science and the legal technique. On the other hand, it allows for a distinction between Law and the law; it shows the relativity of  Law   as a cultural and historical phenomenon, and facilitates a better understanding of the legal constructs and institutions whose ultimate source is Rome’s Law. As a final point, Roman Law ranks among the fundamental laws provided for by «common law», which constitutes a distinctive feature of the European nations.
