Basic Knowledge in Celular Biology and Physiology.

Teaching Methods

For the student acquires the skills proposed for this curricular unit, lessons will be based on oral presentations of the matter following its framework in the curricular unit. Practical exercises that apply theoretical concepts, with analysis, interpretation and discussion of results and also by presentation of topics related with different farmacoterapeutic groups selected by the students.

Learning Outcomes

The curricular unit will give to the students the basic knowledge about the pharmacological concepts included in pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic and pharmacotherapy of drugs to understand the application of the main pharmacological groups. The knowledge about the different pharmological group is performed in a selection of the student options and to complete de knowledge about some pharmacological and therapeutic groups.

Syllabus

THEORETICAL COMPONENT
The national and international authorities for drugs and their role in the medicines use. The pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics processes in the effects and side effect of medicines. The mechanism of interactions and toxicity of medicines. .
PRATICAL COMPONENT
Pratical cases related with the theoretical topics presented by the students using the general concepts in pharmacology..
Complemented with the study of some therapeutic groups selected in an elective way made by the students.
