Teaching Methods

Classes will be all theoretical and two of them will have a theoretical-practical component, with presentation of group work.

Learning Outcomes

Knowing the importance of Ethics and Medical Ethics and its conceptual evolution over time; Sensitize students to the problem of activity related to health, disease, life and death of human beings - Bioethics; Recognizing the essential ethical principles that should govern the medical attitudes and practice within the health sciences; Identify concrete situations involving ethical evaluation; Acquire the ethical competence to settle the ethical questions in the right way by giving answers in rigorous and relevant terms, formulate decisions on objective situations of current medical practice, when concerned ethical implications; Knowing the rules and legal standards and analyze legal norms in force coding of medical practices and within the health sciences; Know the rights and duties of patients, their families as well as doctors and other health professionals, and the principles governing the various areas of medical liability.
