Learning Outcomes

Understand the concept of work and the concept of organization, the latter as a “frame” for work, in modern life; Understand the historical evolution of thought in organizational sciences;

Analyze critically the recent evolution of labor markets

Characterize the dynamics of current Employment in Portugal and in European Union;

Identify different ways of professional socialization and identity construction;

Discuss the professional relations and the dynamics of employment.
