Teaching Methods

Deductive method  is privileged in theory classes; inductive method is preferred in practical classes as a way to better enable the resolution of specific cases of the international realm; international jurisprudence is particularly taken into account.

Learning Outcomes

Some of International Law’s most salient, controverted  issue – not discussed in the 1st semester – are addressed in this curricular unit; above all, the issues of: hierarchization of international norms, succession of states, recognition and self-determination of non-autonomous nations, international criminal law, international environmental law, rationale for the absolving excuse when it comes to the use of force, international regime of land, sea and air spaces. Discussion of each of these items is meant to awaken  the students’ critical, reflective thinking as well as acquire autonomous research skills.
