Learning Outcomes

The aim of this unit is to provide guidance to the students in structuring their  master’s theses. The research may focus one or more case studies and their corresponding framework, or be based on more theoretical work, in which case the student should discuss the state of the art in relation to the chosen object of study.

The student should demonstrate his/her research skills, as well as innovation and autonomy, producing original work that contributes to the development of the field.

Although the contents of the syllabus can be adapted according to the research themes, the students should, in combination with the supervisor (s), to develop the following topics:

- Identify precisely the objective (s) / problem (s) to be investigated

- Collect and analyze the relevant bibliography

- Define working hypotheses or starting points

- Select and apply appropriate research methodologies

- Collect, organize, analyze and interpret the results

- Write the Dissertation.
