Recommended Prerequisites

Students must have successfully completed the curricular component of the Master course (1st and 2nd Semester of the 1st year), corresponding to 60 ECTS, in which they acquired knowledge in the areas of research methodology and statistics (instrumental areas) applied to research in adult education and training and community intervention, and in the different unit(s) that update various themes concerning the sub-domains/recipients /contexts covered.

Teaching Methods

The work done by the trainee at the host institution is monitored daily by the local supervisor and weekly by the Faculty supervisor. All activities are pre-planned and executed based on general, specific and operational objectives, being also scheduled and thought in terms of resources involved and assessment. Each training project must be approved at the end of the first two months by the two supervisors of the trainee. The scientific supervisor will visit at least twice the trainee’s internship place.

Learning Outcomes

The orientation of the master's thesis mainly aims to provide master students the acquisition of general skills,needed for the guidance of a relatively autonomous research project in adult education and training and community intervention.

 Specific Skills

Training in the independent organization of the research process; mastering the use of methodologies and techniques for collecting and analyzing data;mastering the theoretical review and scientific writing;mastering the domain of ethical procedures associated with scientific research in education;contacting with the procedures associated with the publication of articles in scientific journals

 General skills

Communication with the scientific and educational/training community,and society in general,using different resources;reading and critical synthesis of scientific information which is continuously produced in this field of expertise;skills for the preparation of a brief public presentation of a scientific work;teamwork.
