Teaching Methods

By using a participatory methodology, this course intends to create conditions for students to know how to use in a critical way the information given in theoretical contexts. In particular, case studies are analyzed and discussed to facilitate the real sharing of information in order to promote the development of professional skills on the basis of an appropriate use of knowledge related to the issues in question.

Learning Outcomes

The main objective of this course is to help students to better understand the issues regarding leadership and motivation of people and teams.

It is expected that at the end of this course, the student will be able to:

a) identify the various approaches to leadership and recognize the contexts in which each one is most appropriate.

b) understand teams as a dynamic and evolutive system and recognize the most effective strategies related to team building.

c) recognize the importance of the leader's behaviour in a context of change and crisis.

d) adapt motivation strategies to the needs and characteristics of people and teams.

e) identify the most effective reward strategies and recognize the importance of aligning compensation with the organization's strategy and culture.
