Teaching Methods

The assessment of this course will be based on the activities developed through an experiential training program in an outdoor environment. This will be complemented by individual assessment on the topics of the syllabus and the activities performed through the elaboration of an individual essay. The global assessment will take into account the following parameters:

• Group Performance - 50%

• Evaluation of monitors: increase or reduction of up to three points

• Essay - 50%

Learning Outcomes

The course unit is part of the area of soft skills that is becoming more popular in recent times. The proposed syllabus associated

with the methodology adopted aims to promote a better self-knowledge of the participants, better awareness of individual emotions and their role in the decision making, as well as its role in team activities. The syllabus is based on the assumption that experiential education promotes a greater involvement of the participants with the topics being discussed. As a final result, participants must develop a new vision of teamwork and realize that it gives members a sense of control over their lives; protects from the power and the hierarchy; Improves individual identification with the overall objectives of the organization; promotes the collective learning; improves self-esteem and the levels of self-realization; disseminates the values and behaviors that the leader expects from the participants; increases the overall performance of the organization.
