Teaching Methods

The classes combine the presentation and discussion by the teacher and the students and of students autonomous work focusing the analytical resources and the concrete experiences of social entrepreneurship. Academic and practitioners are invited. The development of analytical resources and research and action methodologies on social innovation and entrepreneurship processes is articulated with the individual reflection and collective debate about the individual projects of the students.

Learning Outcomes

This curricular unit is intended to promote discussion and knowledge and experience sharing in the field of social entrepreneurship, promote widening of cultural and scientific debate and contribute to the structuring of thinking about reality, the object of study and the research design or project work. Syllabus will focus on the identification of analytical tools and its application in the analysis of concrete experiences of social entrepreneurship taking into account the processes of innovation, development and amplification of the experiments and their impact, speeches and actors.

Students should know and apply the methodologies of analysis and intervention in the field of social entrepreneurship and reflect on the profiles and roles of involved social actors and the role played by these professionals and social workers within these contexts. Students should be the trained to be able to:

1) identify and analytically assess opportunities and concrete experiences of social entrepreneurship in their specific contexts;

2) identify and analyse intervention projects from the assumptions of social entrepreneurship. Students will be encouraged at the level of their analytical and self-reflective competences and autonomy, individual initiative and collaborative spirit, which shape the speech and practice of social entrepreneurship.
