Recommended Prerequisites

This Course Unit is transverse to every other curricular units of the first and second semester of the 1st year of the Masters.

Teaching Methods

Teaching Method:
Oral exposition / information of theoretical and practical contents by the teacher;
Analysis and debate about texts and documents;
Presentation of professional narratives  with special emphasis on student participation;
Group work, presentation and plenary discussion of various topics on the Course Unit
Evaluation Methods:
- Conception of a scientific article related to the course themes

- Group Work with a construction of a social project

Learning Outcomes

Global Objectives:

Within the framework of theoretical and practical skills aims to:
1.1. To promote a holistic vision of the principles inherent in strategic rationality of social projects.

1.2. To discuss and questioning the processes involved in the design, management, negotiation and evaluation of programs and social projects both as a result of a social learning process or as a form of innovation, intervention and of social entrepreneurship.

1.3. To develop, identify and reflect on various elements, phases, stages and contents, constituting the cycle of planning, design, management and evaluation of programs and social projects as well as empirical instruments hat may be used in each of it phases.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

At the end of the Master's course unit the student should thus be able to:
- Understand the logical steps and requirements for design, implement and evaluate programs and social projects;
- Reflect and consider the dynamics and mechanisms for developing innovative proposals for social interventions;
- Promote social entrepreneurship initiatives, refining not only the essential operational knowledge, but also a prospective thinking, complex and problematizing.
