Recommended Prerequisites
Students are expected to have basic knowledge about micro and macroeconomics.
Teaching Methods
The program is based on the theoretical explanation of the subjects (using PowerPoint) and related in-class discussions.
Learning Outcomes
It is intended that students acquire basic instrumental and theoretical training in the field of Urban Economy. With this, a wider understanding of the dynamics of economic phenomena is promoted, as well as the integration of the subject in related activities (city management, for instance).

The main objective of this course is to present and discuss some of the main issues faced at the urban level. The program revolves around the following subjects: Urban growth. Urban land use. The network of urban centers. Management of urban areas.
