The unit presents a critical view of the state of the art in the field of contemporary sport, providing the student with the competencies to plan and implement programs of intervention for coaches, athletes, families and other agents.

[1] Ethical issues in contemporary sports; changes in structure and contents. [2] Fair-play and sportsmanship; values, attitudes and motivational climate. [3] Theoretical framework for studying ethical issues: social learning theory; structuralist and developmental theories. [4] Research and the search of an explanatory model; applied research; correlations with other constructs: perceived ability, achievement goals, training climate. [5] Social ecologies and the role of significant others: family, trainers, peers, other agents. Personal and ecological assets.
