Recommended Prerequisites

The students should attend this unit course during the last year of their undergraduate program.

Teaching Methods

Expositive method, thematic discussions, document analysis and other pedagogical techniques are used to involve students and stimulate their reflection on the cases presented.

Each group of students will analyse organizational changes in a Portuguese organization. Based on that analysis they will present and discuss both the results of cases studied and the interaction process with business managers.

Learning Outcomes

Overall objectives

Allow students to become familiar with some of the problems faced by business organizations, and the available approaches to their resolution.

Specific objectives

To promote the use of knowledge and skills obtained during the undergraduate degree, namely in  critical analysis of the business reality.

- Oral and writing communication skills, argumentation ability, and utilization of communication technologies.

- Ability to adapt their behavior to different organizational patterns.

- Ability to integrate acquired knowledge in the analysis of business problems
