Teaching Methods
Teaching methods: Lessons will be based on the discussion of articles and on the presentation and discussion of ongoing research projects.
Learning Outcomes
Objectives: [1] Understanding the contemporary trends of sports training and its implications in the reorganization of the children and youth sportive practice; [2] Understand the interdependencies between the adjustments to sports training and growth processes; [3] Identify the necessary assumptions to evaluate the potential of sport for a young athlete; [4] Assess the following functional capabilities: upper limb muscle power, lower limb muscular strength, endurance and strength, static strength, flexibility, power, aerobic, anaerobic fitness; [5] Proceed to the multi method evaluation of the same trait, determining the degree of relative independence and association; [6] Interpreting the data individually and collectively.
