Teaching Methods

This curricular unit will be thoroughly based on tutorial guidance. It is up to students and their advisors to organize and develop an implementation plan that also includes face-to-face moments, where the process will be reflected upon and permanently discussed.

Learning Outcomes

The main objective is the development of an original work dealing with a previously delineated scientific topic, approved by the scientific board as a Project. It is anticipated that, in addition to scientific skills that derive from the area to address, the candidate should develop skills regarding scientific production (research, problem definition, project construction and preparation of final reports).

i) presentation of a research problem; ii) methods formulation; iii) definition of proper statistical methods for addressing a specific problem; iv) preparation of a final scientific report (introduction, state of the art, methods, results, discussion, conclusions, bibliography).
