Learning Outcomes
The course unit Introduction to Management provides an integrated view of the company and its context, fostering an understanding of functional areas and the logic of management, with particular emphasis on the accounting and financial aspects. It contributes 50% to the development of technical knowledge through the analysis of factors that influence competitiveness and the appropriation of management language, assessed by a final exam (LE ILO2 | IAG ILO1 + IAG ILO2 = 50%). The remaining 50% focuses on the development of transversal skills, namely effective communication and teamwork, worked on in group settings (LE ILO5 | IAG ILO3a + IAG ILO3b+ = 50%). The content related to functional areas and accounting also allows for an analysis of the interrelationship between these areas and their contribution to organizational goals, promoting a balance between technical knowledge and interpersonal skills.
