Teaching Methods

Expository lectures to introduce students to the main concepts coupled with more practical lectures aimed at allowing class discussion of mini-projects. Evaluation considers two alternative paths: path A (recommended) and path B. Path A includes group mini-projects and a final individual test. Path B considers a final exam.

Learning Outcomes

The course aims at providing students contact with the basic conceptual topics of financial decision making and financial policy implementation. Specifically the course aims at developing the skills needed to analyze the economical and financial health of companies, and to make capital budgeting decisions.
