Teaching Methods

The learning process is performed in a simulation environment. In this context, students are required to take an active part in solving problems. Students will be responsible for their individual decisions and also for the decisions of their group.

Assessment is continuous, consisting of a two components. In the individual component students are evaluated on their knowledge of simulation variables. In the group component students are evaluated based on their company rank and their final report presentation.

Learning Outcomes

The main objective of this course unit is to provide students with competences in business strategy formulation and implementation. In this context, students should improve their understanding of the functional interaction flows, and they should identify the consequences of their decisions in the company and in the marketplace.

• How to use the company simulator.

• Training for understanding the decision variables.

• Simulation of decisions related with various management organizational dimensions.

• Analysis of simulation results.
