Teaching Methods
Exposition of syllabus contents by teacher with multimedia presentations whenever possible and if deemed appropriate and debates with a participation of the students about specific issues of the economic globalization.
Learning Outcomes
Overall objectives
This curricular unit aims at familiarizing student with the discipline of the international political economy through an introductory approach.
Specific competencies
The student must be capable of: 1. to identify key issues associated with the object and the different views of this discipline; 2. to explain in an introductory way the main theories of international trade; 3. to address basic concepts of an open economy; 4. to distinguish the reconfigurations of economic globalization. 5. to have a multidisciplinary and reflexive view on the present model of the global economy.
Generic competencies
The student must be capable of: 1. to discuss the subjects of the economic globalization in the reasoned way; 2. to identify, to structure, to synthesize and to expose in the written and oral form subjects of the international political economy; 3. to critically learn and to reflect with high degree of autonomy questions associated with this discipline.
