Teaching Methods
The treatment of the topics proposed will be implemented through a combination of lectures and practical classes. Class lectures will cover concepts and methodologies accompanied by illustrative examples. In practical classes cases and exercises will be discussed and solved.
Evaluation: General regime (final exam - 100%) or mixed regime (final exam – 50%; intermediate test – 50%).

Overall objectives
The objective of financial management is to provide the essential guiding principles that should keep a balanced and feasible financial situation, both in short, medium and long term goals.
Specific objectives and competencies
• Identify and evaluate the main financing sources for the companies;
• Discuss the main concerns involving working capital;
• Cash management and short-term applications;
• Discuss and evaluate the impact of the major strategic decisions traditionally assigned to the financial function of the companies;
• How to deal with the main financial risk faced by the companies
Generic competencies
Development of the following competencies: capacity of analysis and synthesis, communication skills both written and oral, and ability to work in groups.
