To have approval concerning the curricular units of the 1st year of this cycle of studies

Teaching Methods

During the 2^nd semester of the 1^st year of studies, the coordinators of this Master give the necessary information about the internships paying attention to the students concerns about those issues; the coordinators designate the academic supervisor for each student. All the students have also a supervisor from the hosting organization. At the end of the internship, the hosting organization shall draw up an evaluation report on the performance of the intern. Students will have regular meetings with the academic supervisor and they must sustain their internship report before a panel.

Learning Outcomes

Objectives: to have practical training in the context of an internship and to write a report concerning that kind of work

Competencies:

To be able to use the sociological knowledge (both theoretical, empirical and methodological) in the context of the internship and during the process of writing the report concerning that experience of practical training;

To be able to achieve an integration in the work context of internship developing relevant activities both for future insertion in the labor market and for the goals of the hosting organization;

To be able to write an internship report arguing in a clear and sustainable way about the nature of the hosting organization, the kind of activities that were developed there and elaborating a critical synthesis about all the work process involved in that internship.
