Teaching Methods
In the lectures, the topics included in the syllabus will be presented and developed, by using computational media. In practical classes, it will be encouraged active participation of students through the analysis of case studies. Whenever adequate, it will be made visits / laboratory demonstrations to clarify the methods of characterization and the operation of processes under analysis.
Learning Outcomes
The main objective is to develop skills and demonstrate broad knowledge and systematic understanding in the area of wastewater treatment.
The course intends to carry out a detailed approach to environmental legislation in the area as well as the determination of physico-chemical parameters most relevant in specific case studies. Treatment processes mainly analyzed will involve physical-chemical processes and advanced oxidation processes, as well as their integration. Overall, students have to demonstrate familiarity with advanced research methodology based on international peer review papers related with liquid effluents. In addition, students must demonstrate capacity for analysis and synthesis as well as to assess new and complex phenomena autonomously and critically.

- electro-oxidation.
