Recommended Prerequisites

Instrumental competences: Competence in analysis and synthesis, Competence in oral and written communication, Knowledge of a foreign language (English), Competence in organization and planning, Use of the Internet as a mean of communication and source of information; Personal Competences: Competence in critical thinking, Competence to communicate with people who are not experts in the field; Systemic Competences: Concern about quality, Competence in self-criticism and self-evaluation, Competence in autonomous learning.

Literature research using various sources, namely databases and digital libraries. Tutorial guidance.

Learning Outcomes

The student should give a seminar on the subject of his dissertation, or about the work done in its context, for a non-specialist audience. This seminar should be integrated into science communication events in order to contribute to the increase of the student's "soft skills".

The work developped in this curricular unit should consist in the presentation, for a non-specialized audience, of the work developed by the student or a topic and the scpe of his/her dissertation.
