Teaching Methods

Lectures of systematization of contents, and seminars working towards the analysis and discussion of the main issues, on the basis of a dynamic interaction with the students, in order to guarantee an adequate follow-up to the contents of the discipline.

Learning Outcomes

Overall objectives:

The Course aims to study the creation and evolution of the international organizations, which established and developed cooperation in Europe, in economic, military and political areas, after the end of II World War; to analyze the evolution of the European Communities up to the European Union; and the evolution of the European institutional security architecture.

 

Specific objectives and competencies:

Students are expected to:

- identify the main pan-European institutions and the context of their creation;

- identify the contribution of the European Communities to cooperation in the Europe;

- critically interpret the current challenges to the European organizations inherited from the end of II World War.

 

Generic competencies:

Development of basic background knowledge, of communicative skills both orally and in written form, and of team work.
