Teaching Methods

The teaching methods in this course unit are rooted in project-based learning and require close monitoring by teachers in the classroom, in a laboratory setting, in a continuous process of interaction with students, according to a schedule outlined at the beginning of the semester. Regular sharing and discussion with the teacher and classmates of the choices made in each project, through interim presentations, will be a fundamental component of the teaching methods, fostering collaborative learning and a critical and self-critical approach to the work carried out.

Learning Outcomes

In this course, students should be able to apply the knowledge and skills related to the core areas of Information Science that they have learned over the previous five semesters. Thus, students will develop skills to:
- plan and design an intervention project to solve specific problems (theoretical or practical), under the guidance of teachers, according to their area of specialization;
- identify and analyze projects developed or underway in information services, in line with the area of their own project;
- manage the various phases of the project, keeping in mind the need to present a result that addresses the problem/question initially formulated.
- communicate and promote the results of the projects developed.
