Training Course - Laser Safety

General Objectives of the Course

The course aims to provide the laser safety training required for Laser Safety
Officer functions. Law No 25/2010, which transposes Directive 2006/25/EC of the European Parliament and the Council, states that all institutions using laser light sources should carry out an annual risk assessment and provide their workers with adequate information and training on the safe use of lasers. The IEC/EN 60825
standard for the safety of laser products states that organizations using class 3R, 3B or 4 lasers should appoint a Laser Safety Officer. This obligation applies to all activities of the private, cooperative, and social sectors, public administration, and other public institutions, regardless of their size or number of employees.
