Training course – Operations and Value Chain Optimization
General Objectives of the Course
Understand the variety and hierarchy of optimization problems in the manufacturing industry and services, at different temporal and spacial scales; known the fundamentals and tools needed to mathematically formulate and solve those problems (continuous and discrete optimization, network models); be able to formulate and solve several particular problems (design and operation of single or multiple units, production planning and scheduling, design and operation of the value chain).Admission Requirements
Target-audience: professionals and researchers with a degree in engineering or management, and with interest in operations optimization in the manufacturing industry and services (at different scales of analysis: unit/department, organization, value chain).
