Advanced Specialization Course In Economic International Relations

General Objectives of the Course

This course is offered within the framework of FEUC’s specialized training, promoting the acquisition and consolidation of specialized knowledge as well as the cooperation with international institutions. The main objectives are to promote consolidated knowledge in the area of international economic relations, allowing students to have contact and acquire critical and specialized knowledge on the main dynamics of international political economy and European institutional governance.

Admission Requirements

Students who will be attending this Course will be selected by City University of Macau CityU among the alumni graduated in Finance or related fields from the Faculty of Finance (FOF) and with proficiency in English.
This program was created within the specific framework of a cooperation protocol between FEUC and City University, Macau. Admission to the program is limited to students that are previously selected by the partner institution.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

The final evaluation of each course unit is expressed by a classification in a numeric scale from 0 to 20. The course’s final grade is obtained through the weighted arithmetic average (rounded to the nearest unit) of the compulsory and elective course units, having the ECTS number as a weighted factor. The courses’ final grade is expressed in the range of 10-20 of the numerical integer scale 0 to 20, as well as its equivalent in the European comparability scale of classification. The final course classification is associated to a qualitative mention, expressed in terms of 10 to 13 – Sufficient, 14 and 15 – Good, 16 and 17 – Very Good and 18 to 20 – Excellent.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

The main skills to be developed are focused on critical analysis that allow them to scrutinize the diverse interpretations of the various themes under analysis, as well as autonomous research skills.
