Japanese Language and Culture Course – level VI
General Objectives of the Course
Following the knowledge and skills acquired in the courses of Japanese Language and Culture I to V, this course enables students to understand utterances related to personal information, family, shopping, local geography, studies, work, and other topics. They will develop essential communication skills related to everyday life and will be able to talk about their needs and their situation.Admission Requirements

Students will be able to maintain a simple and coherent speech regarding familiar and personal subjects. They will be able to describe events and experiences, dreams, expectations and ambitions, as well as present reasons and justifications for having a certain opinion or project. They will continue to study grammatical particles, adjectives, adverbs, verbs, transitive and intransitive verbs, passive or active voice, imperative form, conditional form, etc. Students will study advanced Kanji characters and will continue to write combining Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana. They will be able to read and understand newspapers articles, magazines, manga and internet information. They will be able to write texts using a richer vocabulary, more complex sentences and to create a poster with their city information regarding tourism and events. Following Marugoto, newspapers, magazines, films and documentaries, students will be able to analyze traditional Japanese culture comparing it with the habits of the younger generations and modern issues, like online and physical stores, traditional culture and cultural heritage, ecological activities, discussing life from birth till death, Japan in present and 50 year old Japan.Qualification Requirements and Regulations
