English for Academic Purposes Course – level II

General Objectives of the Course

This course is aimed at anyone at a post-intermediate or advanced level of English (at least B2 of the CEFR level) and who need to develop or consolidate their language skills in academic or professional contexts.
The course helps students develop efficiency and confidence in situations where they need to deal with written and oral English, with particular emphasis on reading, listening and oral skills. Using the topics developed in the lessons, a percentage of the course will focus on support in academic writing skills.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must be aged 16 years or over. Candidates must take a test (mandatory) to evaluating their English proficiency or present a certificate ensuring that their English proficiency is equivalent to a level between Upper-intermediate and Advanced (after the certificate analysis applicants may be waived testing). Applicants should be very proficient in English oral and/or written, according to their needs (at least at European level B2, ideally, C1 or C2).
