English for Academic Purposes Course – level I

General Objectives of the Course

This course is aimed at anyone at a post-intermediate or advanced level of English (at least B2 of the CEFR level) and who need to develop or consolidate their language skills in academic or professional contexts. The course aims to develop students’ written production and reading skills which are essential for the preparation, presentation and publication of papers written in English. A percentage of the course is also dedicated to the development of oral skills, used to expand on the topics introduced in reading texts.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must be aged 16 years or over. Candidates must take a test (mandatory) to evaluating their English proficiency or present a certificate ensuring that their English proficiency is equivalent to Intermediate level (at least B1 level CEFR). After the certificate analysis applicants may be waived testing.
