French Conversation Course, Elementary level
General Objectives of the Course
The course is aimed at all those who wish to strengthen, improve and develop their oral expression by debating and discussing current topics of great repercussion in French. Students are expected to acquire knowledge and skills in French corresponding to level B1.1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.Admission Requirements

Final grading: 0-20 points.Learning Objectives and Intended Skills
At the end of the course, students are expected to acquire knowledge and skills in French corresponding to level B1.1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, and as such they will be able to:a) understand the essential points when the standard language used is clear, dealing with family aspects in contexts of: work, school, leisure time, etc.
b) participate in most situations that may occur on the go, in a region where the target language is spoken.
c) organize a simple and coherent discourse on family issues in different areas of interest.
d) report events, experiences or a dream, express a desire or ambition and briefly justify the reasons for a project or an idea.

As a rule, continuous assessment is the preferred system of evaluation. This requires 75% of class attendance and completion of two tests. Other elements, such as class participation, homework and tasks performed throughout the course, are also taken into account for evaluation. At the end of each level, students can request the corresponding certificate if the course has been successfully completed.
