Training course - Mentoring, Planning and Assessing PE

General Objectives of the Course

To develop skills of analysis of sources of knowledge, intervention in school context, in the fields of pedagogical supervision, planning and evaluation of learning in Physical Education.

Teachers of the recruitment groups 260 e 620 with mentoring assignment on the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Physical Education – University of Coimbra.

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

Be competent in the analysis, in collaboration with peers, of the purposes of the supervision process and the strategies available for the teaching of Physical Education in school, recognizing the criteria for applying these strategies according to the nature of the planning, intervention and evaluation tasks of the learning; to be competent in the analysis, in collaboration with peers, of the Profile of Students Exiting Compulsory Schooling, of Essential Learning in Physical Education in the different cycles of schooling, and in the reflection around its meaning as reference for the construction of curricular projects; reconceptualization of the structure of the class plan foreseeing a direction of the teaching proposals to reach the purposes inscribed in the Essential Learning in Physical Education and the content of its areas of competence; careful conception of the class plan taking into account the internal diversity of the class, reflecting the differentiated definition of goals to be achieved, contents to be addressed and methods to be adopted, with reference to those Essential Learning and the promotion of success.
