General Objectives of the CourseThe course aims to provide professionals with in-depth knowledge in the fields of noise and vibration insulation and acoustic conditioning of buildings. This course addresses advanced topics related in particular to: the design and project of vibration insulation systems, predictive models of airborne sound insulation, strategies for defining elements of high performance in terms of noise and vibration insulation, acoustic parameters of large spaces, solutions of acoustic absorbers and diffusers, and the design of complex acoustic spaces.
Learning Objectives and Intended SkillsIt is intended that students develop the following skills:
- Capacity for analysis and design of different types of insulation systems;
- Capacity for advanced analysis of acoustic enclosures and acoustic design of complex spaces.
Mode of StudyFull-time, face-to-face and daytime
(i) holders of first cycle (bachelor) courses or equivalent in Civil Engineering or similar, (ii) holders of academic, scientific or professional curriculum whose merit is recognized by the course coordination to attest the capacity to complete the course.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and GradingThe final grade will be a number between 0 and 20 corresponding to the weighted average value of the grades of all the curricular units.
