German Language and Culture VII

General Objectives of the Course

German Language and Culture VII aims to teach the German language in its written and spoken form, both at the reception and production levels. The course objectives follow the guidelines established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) for level B1.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

Successful course completion requires the realization of all the proposed activities. The evaluation is expressed in a final grade on a scale of 0-20 points, and the minimum passing grade is 10

Learning Objectives and Intended Skills

Students will be able to:
– understand the main points of familiar topics related to work, school, leisure, etc.;
– use German to deal with nearly all everyday situations;
– write simple and well structured texts on familiar topics;
– describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions, as well as present reasons and justifications for personal opinions and projects.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

Regulation n.º 339/2012, published in Official Gazette no. 152, 2. Grade, August 7th (Regulation of Creation and Operation of non-degree courses at the UC).

Graduation Requirements

As a rule, continuous assessment is the preferred evaluation mode: this requires 75% attendance and completion of two tests. Other elements, such as class participation, homework and tasks performed throughout the course, are also taken into account for evaluation. At the end of each level, students can request the corresponding certificate, if the course has been successfully completed.
